1. A. Merritt likes those adjectives and adverbs! Sometimes I found it distracting.
2. This is one weird tale....
3. ...but I did like it.
4. The story has a Cthulu feel to it.

A. Merritt foi um repórter e depois editor de um jornal dominical nas décadas de 1910 a 1940 que nas horas vagas escrevia romances e contos fantásticos para revistas pulp. Ele foi bastante bem sucedido na época e influenciou H.P. Lovecraft, de quebra era um dos autores favoritos do Gygax. Existem três livros dele no apêndice N assim como a indicação et al de que toda sua obra é recomendada, além disso, o parágrafo final do apêndice descreve o autor com uma das “influências imediatas ao AD&D q
