A swordsman and his large cat companion take on invading forces, and it’s not Drizzt. It’s actually older and by none other than the skin of legendary Fritz Leiber. This is a short fantasy novel (with maybe some sci-fi elements) in a style akin to Eddison or William Morris. It is a poetic look at identity and is told I’m a style many modern readers admittedly, probably, won’t enjoy. Leiber was a philosopher, and you can tell but it’s not overt.
