Blood of Elves sets up an epic plot for the series and builds upon on a specific short story from The Last Wish.

The book is more about Ciri then it is Geralt. In fact, Geralt is only a viewpont character in three or four scenes through out the entire book, unlike The Last Wish, where he was predominantly the main character.
