Excellent story, some great lines and thoughts, almost among the best renditions of Conan. BUT! Not long after rightly identifying that Conan possesses far more than the will to live but THE WILL TO PREVAIL -- pure S&S Attitude! -- they terribly misjudge and label him as "in love with death." That is a gross misunderstanding of the man and the character. Conan doesn't embrace death: He loves the opportunity to challenge Death and spit in its face.

Ok Conan graphic from Marvel in 1987. It’s a far cry from the Marvel Conan from the 70s or Savage Sword. The Turanians looked straight out of Aquilonia or Brythunia. Yildiz dies, yet his young Queen’s father (The King of Zamora) is crowned King Yildiz IV at the end???There is no mention of Yezdigerd??!!
