What Members Thought
There are parts where it drags a bit but it is all worth it for the epic and even somewhat grotesque conclusion. The novel form seems to be the better way of telling Kane stories over the short story collections I have previously read.
Probably closer to 3.5 stars, but I will give the benefit of rounding up. Parts of this were engrossing, but it didn’t suck me in. At its mere 200 pages, I should have ripped through this in 3 days maximum; but it failed to grab me. At times it did.
