Fantasy by way of Tarentino.
This first stand alone novel in the First Law setting follows Monza Murcatto on her quest for revenge.
Where I loved the First Law trilogy, but found the ending lacking, this book delivers the whole package. Where the trilogy subverted the standard epic fantasy quest novel, this is a classic revenge story placed in a well defined, realistic fantasy setting.
Dark, gritty, funny and fast paced. I can not recommend this one enough.
