Powerful theme
Hondo is a terrific character with a powerful theme he strongly defines. The story is brief, somewhat confusing at times, and delivered in a staccato style that in short form emphasizes the tension and fast passage of time but would be wearying to read in longer format. I'd also like to know a bit more behind the motivation of Hondo's decisions to turn his back on cultural, societal, and militaristic tradition - yet I'm glad he did, for the story closes extremely powerfully and set ...more
