Generally entertaining collection of sword & sorcery stories. Half of the book is the Kardios stories by Manly Wade Wellman (published originally in Andrew J. Offutt's Swords Against Darkness anthologies in the late 70s), about the last survivor of sunken Atlantis (HINT: If the ageless queen says, "There's a prophecy that says that Atlantis will sink if ever I'm kissed," DO NOT KISS HER) wandering around the ancient world and having adventures.

DMR has done readers another good turn, publishing these out of print stories together in one collection. Affordably priced in digital format, there is no reason not to treat yourself to this collection.
Manly Wade Wellman starts us off with his Kardios stories. He shouldn't need an introduction but too much of his catalog is sadly out of print; so you might not know of him. Don’t let my 3 stars scare you off. DMR books are excellent, if like me you enjoy nostalgic pulpy tales. This book, like every other DMR book I’ve read delivers. The theme is lost continents throughout each tale. Atlantis, Lemuria and Mu
I always enjoy Manly Wade Wellman. His Kardios stories are fun, but are formulaic. Each were solid 3 star reads.
The three stories offered by Frederic Arnold Palmer were uneven for me. Definitely nostalgic, but not great. 2 star reads.
