If you haven’t read Howard, do yourself a favor and give him a whirl. It’s his birthday today, so I decided to finish out this volume. Some very great work included, the man could spin a great yarn and it’s sad how young he passed.
King Kull is a stellar choice for those who love Conan and would enjoy seeing his character with a bit more personality and zeal. Now, don't get me wrong, Conan is more than a blood-thirsty brute with a love for treasure. He's quite intelligent, being fluent in many languages and accomplished in the craft of thievery (which takes a good deal of smarts) and overall, is incredibly cunning.
