The Long Ships meets Robert E Howard by way of Tolkien. Hell yeah.

This was a fantastic read. I enjoyed the whole ride.

Very nice blending of fact and fiction, makes everything all the more real.

Grimnir is no one's hero, but you will find yourself rooting for his cause and wanting him to succeed.

Well worth a read. I look forward to reading more of Mr. Oden's books.

The redemption of the orc in a brutal Sword & Sorcery historical fantasy focused on revenge. It somewhat reminds me of The Broken Sword by Poul Anderson, but is very modern .
