There is indeed quite a bit of sexual content in this one, it really leans into erotica even. That being said, I think Leiber is still quite the author even if he was aging. Maybe I like it because of that, I’m still impressed by parts of this. There is still some interesting adventures left for the Twain. They stand as some of my favorites of all time.


Now onto the pastiches.

Perhaps more thoughts later, but chief among them: disappointment. Disappointment with this final book. Disappointment that a series that had me so entranced at first, faltered so at the end. This was not my least favorite. That honor belongs to book 5.
