Let me start off by saying I'm not a hardcore fantasy guy. I like Conan and Robert E. Howard style fantasy, I liked Lord of the Rings, and I can deal with some D&D type material but overall I'm not a fantasy guy.

I’ve always been iffy on Moorcock, but this I enjoyed. The descriptions and world building are fantastic. The novel is divided into three parts. Part 1 is definitely the best of the three. After part 2, there is a change from a revenge story to a quest.
Corum is melancholy, but not so much as Elric. I think I enjoyed this book more than the Elric stories I have read as Corum is more likable than Elric.
