A lenghty novel for a plot so thin that that whole story could have ended with a handful of chapters. The idea of a human trapped in an armor , forced to traverse across desert and sea sounded, sorry so say, goofy and ridiculous. The characters were pretty much unlikeable except for Kara, and the character development was little to none. I wondered how did i read through hundred of pages and still know so little about them.

This novel relates the story of a group of mercenaries who bust into a tomb where a demon-possessed suit of blood-drenched armor takes over one of them. The armor and "host," then, go on a quest to find the missing helmet that will complete the suit. Knaak's writing style is technically honed. The Diablo world is showcased. It’s fine- It is what it is, a book based on a video game. It dragged in the middle but overall was a fun read.
