It's a nice self contained story that could be plugged anywhere into the Witcher timeline. Stays true to the games in that all the side quests etc. Are so open ended also!!! I've been on a bit of a Witcher kick this last few months taking in the Netflix series and the 3rd game on Nintendo Switch. I'll be taking in the audio books very soon.

That... was surprisingly good. I'm not a fan of the art style plus I don't think the story fits the setting that well... but that wasn't a problem as I loved the creepy atmosphere of. I particularly enjoyed the background images in the form of changing stained glass windows. That created the eerie vibes better than anything else and left just enough breadcrumbs to make me invested in what was going on and what was the backstory.

Loved the emotional story (and the smart title). Reminded me of Mike Mignola's stories (and sometimes his art too).
My first trip with The Witcher. Not going to be the last.

I haven't read or collected comics for about 20+. So I understand why this really wasn't my thing.
The artwork, being gritty and chaotic, added to the horror feel of the story.
Being a comic, the story is dialogue driven. I had trouble reading the first half of the story b/c the dialog was just...it was lacking. It got better, but not by much.
It was cool that it was an original story. ...more

Far above par and above expectations. My first exposure to The Witcher. I'll have to dig into the novels next.
