My first Conan pastiche, certainly not my last. Coming straight from REH, yeah this is certainly a step down but not bad, just not that good either.

My most accurate rating should be 3.5. This was overall an entertaining Conan story. Plot was good, rhythm was there and I like the way Jordan writes Conan. Two things I had trouble with: Conan collecting his «  reward » after saving Karella - so out of character for REH’s cimmerian hero - and the reptile men: this is the Hyborian world, not the Forgotten Realms.
