I really liked The Host. I am not normally a sci-fi fan. But this is truly more about what it means to be human, than it is about scary aliens.
I felt it started out slow. It took me about 5 chapters before I could really get into it. Unlike the Twilight Saga, where I was hooked right from the beginning. But after Wanda gets to the desert, I couldn't put the book down.
