2nd reread in preparation for Darkdawn: This book still owns my heart and my soul. Mia Corvere is still my queen and this is a perfect start to a trilogy that will and OWNS ME COMPLETELY!!!

I waited a week before I wrote my review because I wanted to make sure I loved it as much as I thought I did, and I DO! This book is amazing, surprising, and super entertaining every time I thought it was going to ZIG it ZAG. It is very violent and has some sex scenes but I thought they were done really well and had a purpose. Also, it is one of those books where NOBODY IS SAFE.
