If your idea of space opera is likeable characters, inscrutable aliens, technology on the unrealistic and half explained side mixed with good old fashioned bullet launching assault rifles and zipping around space and offing the aliens with said technology and bullet launchers, then this book is for you. An interesting use of a standard plot idea but I'm OK with it because this was a lot of fun. An easy read. Fairly good depiction of some of the basics of military life to include the psychology;

Loved this book. Interesting universe. Very well thought out. Great story. But best of all is John Perry. He totally makes the book.
