It was okay. The beginning is so slow.
The story is told through 2 main characters POVs. One is a detective in a space station who is tasked to find a missing person (Miller) and the other is a junior officer on a Ice Hauler who stumbles into a world of crazy. (Holden)
In the end I didn’t really like either character. Holden was just dumb. He kept jumping to conclusions and making impulsive decision. I’m not really sure what to think of Miller. The beginning of his story is told kinda 1950s gangs ...more

I picked this book up on a whim. I admit that I never seen the TV show or really knew much about it before I picked up Leviathan’s Wake. I have been trying to give genres I don’t read much of a chance. I definitely don’t read space operas. But, I do like hard boiled noir detective stories and horror. This book takes all three and combines them into a story that I couldn’t put down. I will be picking up book two soon.
