Shelves: fantasy-sci-fi, read-in-2013

This book was exactly what I needed to snap a reading funk. It has fun characters, an interesting world that links together all of your favorite supernatural creatures, and a butt-kicking female protagonist. While I could do without the love triangle aspect, everything else here was great for me. Recommended, particularly if you are into urban fantasy.

What a fun read!

Mercy is a tough chick. She owns her own mechanic shop, and she's not a stereotypical heroine. Oh, and she's also a shifter.

Now, I haven't read too many novels about shifters, but I've tried a few. This one's good. And I like that there's involvement of other supernatural species / creatures too like vampires or the fae.

Looking forward to the next book in the series! ...more
