Read for the Frisco Undead and Unread book club.

I really enjoyed the take on the far realms in this book and really enjoyed the lore and world building woven into it. I loved the fae customs and enjoyed the way the back stories were told.

That said I really really didn’t connect or care for the characters. Emily is cold, logical, and aloof. Yes she often helps people but mostly it’s as an unexpected bonus to her quest for more knowledge. She is an insufferable know it all who’s knowledge seems en ...more

I enjoyed the beautiful world building and relatable characters! This was a comfy read that had me laughing out loud throughout the story! I have a hard time starting off on books, but did not have that issue here. It captured my attention from the start and had a great plot that kept me interested till the end. It did leave me wanting more, so I am excited for the release of the next book!
