Fascinating look at Daoist lore and mythology.
This is a fantasy book set in late 1800s early 1900s Chinatown in San Fransisco. It paints the grim reality of what life was like for immigrants in America and specifically a woman. While also mixing it with dao lore and ghosts.
I love the mythology. I would love to know more.
There is very little character building at all.
I would say more than a 1/3 of the book is just fighting scenes. I could easily see this going to the big screen, and I would love ...more
