Kafka on the Shore is the most approachable Murakami novel I've read to date. Since it's an older classic, I'll keep my comments brief. There's not a lot to be said about this wonderful book that dozens of reviewers before me haven't already said.

Brilliant! I loved this book as much as I hoped to. I expect a few of these characters will live long in my imagination.
One of Murakami's best. There is no character that you don't grow to love but also respectfully fear.
