I read this book for a diversity conversation that never happened. But I would have never picked it up otherwise. After reading a series of non-fiction, it was great to have a break into a novel form with a style of wackiness in all its elements. It seems a story that Zadie Smith kept making it up as she continuously wrote it. I thought the end was brilliant - it was the getting there that was a bit unbearable.
