My first Franzen novel, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it! I found myself unable to put it down at points, even though the subject matter was not the most suspenseful or engaging. What I really found remarkable about this novel was its ability to capture the complexities of relationships. Never was a relationship just left to stand for itself.
