The Human Stain was an excellent book filled with vast detail. The main character was Coleman Silk a professor at Athena College who is forced to resign due to a circumstance of calling two absent students spooks for not coming to class. The two students happened to be black. As you read you discover many secrets from Silk's past that are hidden in order to live the life that he wanted to live.
