I LOVE Thomas Pynchon's writing, and I was definitely enjoying Gravity's Rainbow. The problem is, I've been juggling this book with some others, so whenever I pick up GR I have to go back a few pages (a LOT of pages, actually) to remind myself what was happening when I last put the book down.
Like many great books, Gravity's Rainbow really needs to be read ALONE. (I don't mean that I need to be alone when I read it.... I mean that it's not really a book to be read while one is reading other books ...more
