"I have such mixed opinions about this book so far!! And I'm only 175 pages in. (The book is 900 and something.) To continue or not to continue??
Pros: Interesting detail on all sorts of subjects, like cryptology, math, WWII intelligence, Nazi gold, 90s tech. Also, moments of elaborately wry humor.
Cons: Present-tense narration, with lots of tangents, and a perhaps too-large menagerie of METAPHOR. Mild misogyny. ((I'm waiting on further characterization of the protagonists b ...more
