What Members Thought
Flat and plain, two things I would not have associated with a book with an original concept such as this. But Perfume won the honour. There were some enjoyable moments though I would have enjoyed this more had Grenouille's character actually possessed any kind of depth and layer to him. Alas, he was only an unfeeling monster.

Would be very interested to see the film of this book to see how the story is carried out as the book as a whole is very descriptive and focuses more on describing scents rather than the murders the character carried out.
If you want to read good fiction made up of suspense, criminal thoughts and acts, originality, pretty much everything that is good in a serial killer's story; this is the book for you. I read it, reread it, I sticked to its pages and read some of them twice just to absorb the genuine imagination of a writer that created something unique.
