2019 has been a strange kind, rather a disappointing year in my tryst with books. I had read my fair share of books but there's none that really captured my attention. In my search for something as memorable as Shadow of the wind, I ended up staring at this book.

If you are looking for some mature reading on philosophy of life or of human psychology, the book is not exactly for you. That's what i was looking for but i found the book focused more on sex than on the human psychology behind betrayal and loyalty. Repeated mention of it seemed entirely irrelevant to me, leaving me wondering what all the hype about the book was in the first place. I was unable to complete the book to the end for the same reason. Milan Kundera comes up with such thoughtful quot
