Imagine losing or gaining a spatial dimension
Living in a 3D world, my mind was pleasingly warped when I watched this 7-minute Action Lab video, explaining what a 4D ball would look like in 3D. I sent it to Apatt who likened it to And He Built a Crooked House, which in turn, reminded me of a book I’d heard of, Flatland.
Reading them one after the other was enjoyably challenging. This is a review, and star rating, of both.

I have read thousands of books in my life. Few have addressed how vital mental "maps" are to how we understand the world. And, of the handful that do address mental and spiritual growth, none succeed half as well as this quirky little novella.
Frankly, I am unsure of where to locate this book genre-wise. It contains a little bit of science, but more geometry/ math than science. So I cannot really call it "science fiction." So I'll call it "fantasy." But the world, once explained, is plausible. A ...more

Brilliant! A fascinating look at one, two and three dimensions from the point of view of a square in one dimension. Thought provoking and thoroughly enjoyable read.
