Dickensian, and a clear influence on Kafka's Trial and Castle (Dostoyevski was an author he liked, according to Brod).

As one can see I loved the book. The book not only has historical aspects, but is also dark, which i loved. Favorite character svidrigailov, if you read the book you will see why.
