1.5 stars. 2 separate plots that didn't seem to have a common theme. Very boring! Usually anything containing history I enjoy. It could have been the English dialogue that I could not get into.

There is a lot that can be said about this novel. A lot. For now I'll stick to saying that it was both mesmerizing and annoying. Deep and blind.
