What Members Thought
Faulkner is a heralded American author, but he leaves too much unexplained and for the reader to divine for himself to satisfy me. The result is a novel that is slow going. The plot of this book was also rather dreary - a family struggling to transport the body of the deceased wife and mother to a distant location for burial, and without the benefit of embalming.
