I'm sorry to say I really didn't like this book. I found it dull and boring to be honest. I couldn't wait to get to the end.
I found the novel enjoyed giving sermons far too often. It might have been ahead of it's time, but it hasn't aged well. I wouldn't particularly want my children to read this book as I don't particularly like a majority of it's values. ...more

What can you even say about this classic? It's amazing, no one should miss out on reading this. If you haven't read it, go out and get it immediately. I read it as a young girl (and I believe there is no better time) and it has always stuck with me.
