I gave up. After 200 pages it became relatively clear that I was not meant to read this book and that trying to force myself would only make me hate it, eliminating any chance that I may pick it up again. I plan to rent the movie so that I can find out what happens with Anna and Vronsky and, more importantly to me, what happens with Kitty and Levin.

I remember spending a whole summer dedicated to reading this book and came away feeling so amazed at the whole story. The one thing that stuck to me always was how could Leo Tolstoy understand how a woman could feel within herself. Wonderful book!
