What Members Thought

The book is divided into 3 parts. Part 1- took effort on my part to stay interested in it, very descriptive, got bored at times. Part 2 - fantastic!!! Couldn't put the book down. Part 3 -- great ending, loved that it was open for you to come to your own conclusion.

Reading this immediately following The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins I expected to be a bit cynical of the we-are-all-brothers-in-faith tone. This book isn't for everyone, yet it's one that really resonated with me, and Pi is one of my all-time favourite storytellers ever.
What's in a story? A bit of truth, a bit of fantasy, a bit of wishful thinking, a bit of darkness, and it's up to you to figure out what to believe, what to speculate about, and ultimately, what to accept.
