Life of Pi was about a young man who managed to survive a lot of tragedy which weathered not only his faith and belief but also his knowledge about life. Pi Patel, our protagonist, was a son of a zookeeper in India. Together with his family they are on their way to migrate to Canada but unluckily their ship sunk and took the life of all his love ones as well as their animals. I would say that this is closer to 2.5 stars simply because the ending was wonderful but the slow, journey-like plot was too slow and gory for me. A modern Odyssey?

I've been at the struggling point of my life with religions, theism, and atheism. Reading this book has put me in the track where I can see more points and perspectives about those things Im struggling with.
