Wow, wow, wow. This book is fabulous; how did I never read it before now? I listened to the audio book and I am positive I will eventually want to READ this book again, it's that good. I learned so much about the Congo and Africa; very interesting! I especially liked how the book was told from 5 different points of view of the women in the family, and spanned over 30 years.

Ms. Kingsolver has a real way with words, such beautiful writing. I don't know how she comes up with her glorious words. An
