Holden's passive aggressive and terrified of growing up, he doesn't want to turn out like all the phony adults he sees. His emotions are very bipolar. He can be flying high one second and crash into depression in the next. He would become depressed over seemingly unimportant things like Ackley’s acne problem. This is interesting because I think it truly shows how much of a teen he is. His emotions are uncontrollable just like a majority of adolescents. I think it's a really good book that everyo ...more

This is one of those typical books you either hate or love. I loved it and I consider it the best "young adult" novel I have read so far.
