I don't know why I was under the impression that I "read" this book in my AP Literature class in high school.
As a grownup, now I have definitely read it, and I couldn't put it down until it was finished. I also very much appreciated the added introductions and essays in the kindle version.
If indeed my high school AP Lit teacher DID have this book in the syllabus, I wish I could remember how it was done. No one wants to ask students to read this aloud, with the intricate vernacular and unfamilia ...more
