A little repetitive and not particularly terrifying. Maybe I would have gotten more enjoyment from it if I was more invested in the lore. It amazes me how much our vocabulary has worsened over the years. I couldn't have coped without the built in dictionary on my Kindle for this one. I'll never forget what Cyclopean means... ...more

Not much plot but merely description of the setting and plenty of exposition dumps. I wonder why this books is advertised as horror novel as the scary part lasts a couple of pages. It is not a story but more a Lovecraftian lore book. Not worth a re-read.
