"The Thin Man" by Dashiell Hammett is a detective novel set in New York City in the 1930's. The book is a witty page-turner with likable characters. The main character, Nick Charles, is a former private detective who is enticed into investigating a murder. What I liked about the book was that it was a short subtle funny entertaining intriguing mystery that kept me guessing who the murderer was. The reason I read this book was for a book club. I enjoyed the read. It was fun but not great. Still interesting to go back to the hardboiled of yesteryear.
