Would I recommend this book. Sadly, no.
There is a good book in there, an amazing tale of a man trudging through life and doing the best he can. A tale of how sometimes, irrelevant of how hard you try, sometimes life will crush you. Those parts were dazzling.
However they were too few and far in between. Sometimes I got the impression that the author just loved the sound of his own voice. As in, do we really need a step by step description of the Battle of Waterloo? Do we need a detailed descripti ...more
