Dumas is an amazing writer. Not only does he create stories that are full of depth and adventure he also manages to tell it in a way that anyone can understand. He tells his story in a clear and concise way and that is something many modern writers could learn from. "The Count of Monte Cristo is exactly as I just described. Great narration and high paced. "The Count of Monte Cristo" is a masterpiece.

God knows that I relish revenge tales. Probably the idea that every wrong can be avenged, every wrong-doer can be brought to justice, not by praying helplessly to God, but by intricate plotting and adept execution - that's an idea that placates my heart.
