This is the first time I've read this classic since college. No reason, just that it was free and I was waiting for the library books I had on hold to show up, and this was lasted as the most dowloaded book on Project Gutenberg's website, so I had at it.

Once you actually understand what the characters are saying to each other the whole story gets way more interesting.
The characters are so detailed and complete I can now completely understand P&P has so many offshoot sequels.
Note: read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies first otherwise you will be reaching for your dictionary frequently.

Just reread it for like the 15th time. The first time I read it was senior year of high schol, desperately bored one night while touring colleges in Minnesota with my mom. I though I would hate it since I'm not a huge fan of Jane Austin, having been forced to read "Emma" as a freshman. P&P's still got it: crazy mom, flighty sister, the squirm-inducing Mr. Collins.
