My one issue with this book that it was just boring.

I liked the first paragraph in the book, which made me really excited since page one.
"It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife. However little known the feelings or views of such a man may be on his first entering a neighbourhood, this truth is so well fixed in the minds of the surrounding families, that he is considered as the rightful property of some one or other of their daughters."

EDIT: I reread this and decided that my previous review was far too scathing and I no longer feel that way. I loved this book so much more this time around. I laughed a lot and highlighted so many passages. The family was hilarious and Mr. Bennet's snark had me cracking up. Before he just felt mean spirited but now I see that he's being sarcastic.
I still wouldn't say that this is my favourite Austen but I did find it delightful this time around. ...more
