What Members Thought
This is one of the shortest classic novels I've ever read. Although it is short in length it will remain with me a long time. It is very thought provoking. The story actually take place over a time period of three days, on a ranch in the Salinas Valley found in California. George Milton and Lennie Small are the main characters. Through this novel I felt Steinbeck's sense of pity for the men like George and Lennie, who spend their days toiling in the hot and humid fields taking in someone's else

"Of Mice and Men" is a novella by John Steinbeck. This book is a classic that most people read in high school. However, this is the first time I have read it. I liked how the book was a page-turner that kept my interest from the the first page to the last. Once I started reading the story I did not stop until I was done. In the future I hope to read more of the classics by John Steinbeck.
