Rereading this book, the thing that struck me the most about it was the tragedy of it: how people can use you when it’s convenient and you’re throwing extravagant parties (even though they’re gossiping about the host all the while), and then they just forget, and the truth is that they never really cared.

Summary: Great little book about a dreamer who doesn't give up.

on the train on the way home from school, i realized this assigned book is the last movie i watched with my grandma. she was super into robert redford and his GOOD LOOKS as well as the STYLE the women had. thus, i can't wait to start the book and remember the parts we loved together...
