I wasn't blown away, but I did love reading this book. Very short and memorable - but I think what really made it more special was seeing the Great Gatsby movie right after.
The movie really helped visualize some things that were confusing when I read the book. However, I don't know if I can forgive Baz Luhrman for not integrating my favourite line of the book in the movie, which is "Her voice is full of money" when describing Daisy.

I really enjoyed this book for a glimpse into the period. I think the characters should have been developed more, especially Daisy. Nick's summary in the end about the events made me think I should have been paying more attention to Daisy and Tom. But even if I had been, there wasn't anything else I could have analyzed.

on the train on the way home from school, i realized this assigned book is the last movie i watched with my grandma. she was super into robert redford and his GOOD LOOKS as well as the STYLE the women had. thus, i can't wait to start the book and remember the parts we loved together...
